![]() ![]() Doing so will remove that content from your game. You are correct in that there is no point in adding NRaas or any other mods to it until this is fixed.ĭo not delete your DCCache Folder, this one contains your already installed TS3 store and custom sims3pack content, if you have any. ![]() What is not expected is that your Mods folder is still not being recognized. ![]() The four (or five) cache files are supposed to regenerate as soon as the game starts up the next time, this is normal. This doesn't have to be done before every startup but many of us do so anyway it does need to be done whenever the contents of Mods\Packages changes in any way. The important one of the five for purposes of script mods is the scriptCache file, but it doesn't hurt to include the others as part of routine maintenance while the game is not running. That is the correct list of cache files to delete (you can also include the one called socialCache but that one is optional). From there you should be able to add more NRaas or other mods as required to the same place. You should again get a script mod notification and now City Hall, lots, and sims will have an NRaas > MasterController menu on them. Clear the Scriptcache file again, startup the game, and make sure MC loads up for you. Now once this is all confirmed to be working, add one NRaas mod - let's say MasterController, just the base mod, and again make sure it is not zipped to your Mods\Packages folder. Once you confirm that the two test mods are loading as they should, you may choose to keep or delete them as you wish. You should be greeted with a notification that script mods were detected and there should be no Intro movie as one of the two small test mods suppresses that. Clear (delete) the scriptCache file from the top level of your game folder. Put this Mods folder and its contents into your TS3 user game folder in Documents. It should be a new Mods folder with the two required subfolders, the also required Resource.cfg file, and two small sample mods already in place. Usually that means right-click and Decompress or your could double-click on the zipped download and pull its contents out. Save what is being offered also on your Desktop, not in your game folder, as it will arrive as a zip file. Download the Framework from this page, note the Download button around 1/3 of the way down the page. Pull your Mods folder out of your TS3 game folder in Documents entirely, perhaps to the Desktop just for now, and call it Mods.OLD or something like that. If none of your mods or other package based content (if you have others) are working, I would suggest the following: If you return to this thread, we can help with that too. I did not realize that the problem is that you are unable to get TS3 mods working in the first place, but thought instead you having trouble identifying exactly which mods were required for your purposes. And if anyone posts in what appears to us to be the "wrong place," we will just move the post for them. We are here to help and really are quite friendly if you give us a chance. But there is no need to afraid to ask us for assistance here and doing so is certainly not being a nuisance. But if you want all households in town to have the ability to overstuff themselves as they progress or you wish to ever move more sims into and out of this one household the in-game ways, still allow them to make babies, or ever intend to switch active households and leave this one behind even temporarily, etc., then the other mods discussed on that entry will also be required along the way.īabyG34 - First of all, I understand being shy and inexperienced with internet forum boards. The short version is that if all you want to do is force more than 8 sims to live in one household, you can do that with a one-time MasterController command. ( Edit: I see that Sarah_Sims got here and posted an equivalent link as I was more slowly typing this out.) This FAQ entry should be a good place to start reading. Many of us of course use all of these mods for all kinds of different reasons already anyway. Which ones you need to use and when depend on what exactly you are trying to do. ![]() There are several NRaas mods that concern themselves with how to create and manage households with Greater Than 8 sims. You should be able to start your own threads, if you could please, for new questions that are not related to existing discussions. Retuner is one of our mods, the discussion there was specifically about that one. I have moved your post to its own thread as it was not on-topic for the Retuner discussion. ![]()
